Located in the centre of St Petersburg. Alexander Park was named after Alexander II. The garden has gone through several wars and has been relaid on several occasions the last of which in the 1920s. It’s about a 10 minute walk from Nevsky Prospekt metro station.
The Bronze Horseman overlooks the Neza river. This monument to Peter the Great has stood here since its unveiling in 1783. The statue is located in the Senate Square
Built at the beginning of the 20th century this cruiser is now a museum. The ship was an active participant in the war with Japan. The exposition is devoted to the revolution but is more popular because of the uniqueness of being on board a Cruiser.
Peter the great started building the Peter and Paul Fortress in 1703 and thus laid the foundation of one of the most beautifull cities in the world. Entry to the grounds is free. Entry fee for buildings. The Fortress is located on Zayachi Island.
The Tsar Bell is more than 6 meters high and 6 meters in diameter. It is also the largest bell in the world. The bronze surface is decorated with relief depictions of Tsar Alexei and Empress Anna. The bell is located just before entering the archway into cathedral square.
Alexander Gardens was one of the first public parks in Moscow. It occupies the entire length of the Western Kremlin wall in front of the Moscow Manage.
This monument to Peter the Great is one of a ship on the river Moscow. Although the Russian people loved him, most disapprove of the monument as they believe it doesn’t fit in its surrounds.
Most people believe that Red Square is named after its surrounding red walls when in actual fact it is named after the old Russian word “red” meaning beautiful. It is flanked by some of Moscow’s most famous tourist attractions
